Northtour - Finland (7)

This was ok but a bit monotonous. Now it startet to be more diversified behind Oulu as there were some rivers crossing my way.

And then I formed the idea easily taking a place near Kemi at or near the Baltic sea beach to spend the night. The way wasn't anymore asphalted and I thought of finding a suitable place. Negative report; every even only remotely cultivable place was occupied partly nice hidden. When I reached the end of the street at the Baltic sea there also was ice on the water and snow at the beach. I wondered that that could be with these days high temperatures. So high to the north it was warm.

Panoramic view at the sea.

Baltic sea near KemiNo choice for a place for tonight here at the beach. I gave up and drove back to the main street. If you're looking into the map it seems to be another nice small spit of land before the city. However you'll also see lots of streets and railways tracks which lead until the sea. A deeper look will tell you that Kemi has industry and harbour facilities. One reason to avoid this region.

In Kemi the river Kemijoki flows into the sea. I followed the river upwards. I tell you about on the next page.
