Northtour - Finland (10)

In Ivalo a short way behind Törmänen I realized how far I am now when I saw this signpost. And far in the north.

On the right site you see that this region is already very barren.

Somewhere here should have been enough for today. On search for an overnight stay I found the camping site Unkonjärven nearby Lomakylä. But I couldn't think about tenting. The whole day it was damp, the ground was covered with thawing snow and ice. The camping site was naturally empty but farmed. At the reception desk was an elder woman who asked me from where I'd be. It turned out that she is German too but already had lived there for several years and leads this place.

We talked about this and that and she gave me the good tip not to drive up to Utsjoki. There was a faster way to get to the north east frontier of Norway via Neiden. And there were no more ice and snow but most of all this way should be worth seeing.

I afforded me a room for the night with shower an television; very good. It was clean, warm and with everything you need and not too expensive. The place is situated directly at the lake Inarijärvi which was still largely frozen.
