Northtour - Finland (1)

Now I was on the way to the isles of Ä-Land. This is a self-governing group of islands with their own flag and nationality but it belongs to Finland. I have booked the ferry including branch aboard the evening before at the harbour. And I have to really suggest everyone to do so too. The brunch was first place with a lot of fish in different variations and all you need to enjoy this meal. There was very good meal on every ferry in Ä-Land.

The seamen did without securing the motorbiks why I was sceptically in the beginning. Because of my very high load of the luggage and therefore the high center of gravity I wanted to be safe and tied it up.

For this pasage I had the best weather you can imagine. The sea was as smooth as glas and there was no wind. Real unusually were the temperatures up to 27°C (78F) - I was amazed. The following video clip off the boat contains to pans with my camera and is worth to be seen. So I will let these pictures take effect.

When I reached the islands I only could drive few. The isles are small and you have to take ferries several tims. Vegetation on the islands also is Central European stamped, the climatic conditions seem to be moderate but the trees aren't as high as in Central Europe.
